This was fresh off the heels of revealing the first look at the new world’s largest cruise ship.
‘The enthusiasm and excitement for Icon are undeniable in more ways than one,’ said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International. ‘The incredible response we have received from our loyal guests, vacationers new to cruising, crew members and travel partners continues to come in, and this is just the beginning. We can’t wait to share more of what Icon has in store in the coming months.’
Royal Caribbean is touting what it calls the ultimate family vacation in Icon of the Seas, including multigenerational families. The ship offers eight neighborhoods, among them, Surfside for young families, Thrill Island with its adrenaline-pumping slides, Chill Island for relaxing pools with great views and the four-level Suite Neighborhood.
There is a choice of 28 stateroom categories, half with new layouts, and many family-friendly accommodations that sleep three, four, five, six or more. Over 80% of the rooms have more than two berths.
Bookings opened with a kids sail free offer.
