On board testing
Free rapid testing for COVID-19 and ‘other flu related testing’ will be given to Karnika passengers at embarkation; the results will be made available in 15 minutes.
Cruising in India
The decision to allow cruises to resume is part of the Indian government’s Mission Begin Again campaign, which aims to reignite economic activity in the country.
‘The announcement by the Indian government to permit sailing by cruise companies comes as a fresh breath of air to all of us,’ says Jurgen Bailom, president and ceo, Jalesh Cruises. ‘We have been waiting to set sail with passengers and we eagerly await November.’
He added, ‘The health and safety of our passengers and our crew has been and will always be our priority. I would like to reassure our valued guests that they would not find a safer and cleaner ship than Karnika.’
