The digital research intelligence company found total traffic to the top five sites combined topped 16.5m during June, with Carnival Cruise Line leading the way.
Carnival had 6.37m visits followed by Royal Caribbean (4.14m), Norwegian Cruise Line (2.6m), Princess Cruises (2.1m) and Celebrity Cruises (1.27m).
From May to June, the sites that saw the highest growth were Royal Caribbean with a 40% increase, Carnival (up 30%), Celebrity (up 23%), NCL (up 13%) and Princess (up 10%).
Lagging pre-pandemic levels
Comparing June 2021 traffic to June 2019, the cruise lines are catching up but continue to lag pre-pandemic levels. Carnival is still down 18%, Princess 34%, Royal Caribbean 41%, Celebrity 54% and NCL 61%.
Vaccination and cruise keyword searches spike
In June, worldwide searches for vaccination and cruise keywords hit an all-time high over the past 12 months, at 69.1k searches — 429% higher than the yearly average of 13k searches, Similarweb found.
