The move is in response to Ukrainians fleeing the conflict with Russia inside their home country.

‘We are proud to be supporting such an important humanitarian cause,’ said the cruise line.

‘To support the Scottish government, we can confirm that we are now mobilising Ambition to be in Glasgow for the beginning of September.’

A joint arrangement with the Scottish government

The support is part of a joint arrangement made between Ambassador and the Scottish government to help the Scottish resettlement program for the people of Ukraine. Final details are yet to be revealed.

‘We are still finalising the details with the various parties concerned, but we will be communicating with guests in due course to explain this agreement,’ added the cruise line.

To its customers the line went on to say, ‘We hope you are able to understand our wishes to help with this cause.’

Ambition

Ambassador’s second ship is due to launch next year, with a maiden voyage on March 4 to Scandinavia.

The length of time the ship will provide accomodation has not yet been disclosed.
